Azamgarh’s Raju Vishwakarma had reservation in Ernakulam Express from Varanasi. On Tuesday night at 8.50 pm, he boarded the train from Varanasi Junction along with his wife and three children. Although there was a lot of crowd in the train in Varanasi itself. Somehow he could reach his berth. After that Raju’s children asked to go to the bathroom, but the coach was so crowded with passengers that it was not possible to reach there.
In view of this, at 10 o’clock in the night, Raju made a tweet addressed to the Railway Minister. Within no time his tweet reached GM NCR, DRM Prayagraj, Senior DCM Prayagraj, CPRO NCR, RPF NCR. The train also reached Prayagraj Junction in the night, but Raju did not get any help. After this, throughout the night, Raju made five consecutive tweets pleading for help.
During this, the train went ahead of Satna, Jabalpur as well. When the train reached Itarsi at around 11.30 am, then GRP and RPF reached. After that the children were taken to the toilet. Raju told that his journey was a bitter experience. Said that Railway’s claim of quick action on Twitter is air. The sleeper coach was crowded all the way. The toilets were also occupied by passengers.
